The British Surfing Association is a democratic organisation so when you become a member, you get a vote to choose the people you want to make decisions on your behalf. If you want to you can get more involved, run for election or help out at a competition, that’s the idea of an Association.

The BSA started competitive surfing in Britain. Since 1966 the BSA has helped the best British surfers go from beginners to champions. As a member you can enter the many BSA competitions with BIG cash prizes like the British Nationals. You’ll never know until you try and it could be you in the next British team. That goes for long-boarders, body-boarders and knee-boarders we’re here for all surfers.

Join the BSA and you will receive many benefits as well as a voice in the biggest organisation for British Surfing

Whether you’re a novice, experienced surfer or serious competitor, the BSA represents British surfers at every level, you tell us and we’ll tell them, together we get heard; it’s an old concept but still the most effective.

The BSA is non-profit; this doesn’t mean it makes a loss. It means that any leftover cash goes back into British surfing and not into some big cheese’s back pocket! The BSA is just about what’s best for British surfing.

We run the training courses for surf coaches and work with surf schools to improve safety and quality of tuition, we encourage all surf schools to use BSA qualified instructors and gain BSA approval - it makes sense for everyone.

The British Surfing Association is the only organisation doing all this for British surfing and is sponsored by the major players in the surf industry.

The BSA works for all surfers, providing the way forward for British surfing since 1966. So if you surf, why not join?
