In addition to the following examples potential sponsors may prefer to sponsor:
· A speciality event (Night Surfing / Big Wave)
· New Format (Tag Team / Man on Man)
· A series of events (British Circuit / Bodyboard Series / Longboard Series)
· Surfing Courses (such as taster sessions)
· Individual surfers
· Target Groups (Women / Young People / Over 28’s etc.)
The BSA is both flexible and experienced in organising and running all of the above and will tailor events to the client’s needs and wishes.
Budgets of many events are negotiable and opportunities exist for co-sponsoring.

The Senior European Championships involves around 300 competitors and officials from up to 20 Nations. The event has not been held in England since 1973.

Format: A series of four events, each held over a weekend, at the best surf spots in
each of the home surfing nations. Individual winner for each event and series
winner based on best three results.

British Team Training Camps
At present training opportunities for British Teams are very limited and we would
like to expand our current programme and include Winter training in a warm water location.
In order to maximise the benefits to British surfers the British Team Coach
(currently unpaid) would be offered a part time paid position.
Format: Squad of 25 surfers plus National Coach 3 assistant (specialist) coaches for
surf, longboard and bodyboard and Team Manager.

Surfing Events, Shows and Courses
Surfing Courses at the National Surfing Centre
For the past 15 years the BSA has run surfing courses at the National Surfing
Centre (NSC) at Fistral Beach, Newquay. The courses are tailored for individuals
of all ability levels from first time surfers to British Team standard. Around 8,000
individuals attend courses every year at the NSC.
The NSC has featured in many National newspapers and magazines and in TV programmes ranging from Children TV to BBC 2’s Business programme.
The BSA has a purpose built Surf School and Office enabling us to extend the range and number of courses and events offered to the public.
There are opportunities for a NSC Sponsor’s branding to be given prominent positions at the centre and to appear on the wetsuits worn by clients and on wetsuits and clothing worn by staff.

Coaching and Judging videos
We are currently looking at updating the videos used in our Coaching Accreditation Courses and Judges Training Courses. These videos could be credited as sponsored by ????? and feature the sponsors logo and a short promotional piece for the company in question.
Annually we currently carry out between 15 and 20 BSA Surf Coach Training and Assessment Courses at three levels also five Judges Training Courses.

Trade shows
In 2001- 2004 the BSA exhibited at the Surf Shop Expo at the Westpoint, Exeter.
The BSA would be pleased to exhibit at future shows and other similar events budget to be agreed.
Merchandise
Opportunities exist for Sponsors to develop and produce BSA merchandise and clothing.
